Oooops, I left them at the .wma that my Windows recorder produced, but I can convert them in a jiffy.... would you like me to send you mp3s, instead, Ken?

Nevermind..... I'll just send them.

Good, that gives this cold from Hell a chance to improve a bit. Right now my voice a gravelly baritone!

Any recommendations for an app for voice recording on my Samsung S3?
12/16/2012 10:52:26 AM · #105
Well that was a lot of fun. I just emailed Art my 9 verses. I can't wait to see and hear the final product :)

I'm not an Android Sara, but expect your phone must have something like a Voice Memo app that it came with? That should do the job for you. Probably the easiest way (to explain) to get the recorded files off your phone would be to email them to yourself. Then if the files turn out to not be .mp3s you can probably just change the extension to .mp3 and you will be good to go :)

Do you have an droid or iPhone? If so, you don't need to buy a mic.

Um no, we are talking about me, I only just learnt how to text 3 sentences in 1 hour. I finally upgraded my phone to a $40 one. I am that savvy with technology! In fact it has taken me two years to figure out I do not even have a built in microphone on this computer! lol

Ugh, still recovering from a cold this week - been down all day. So, I received 6 audio sets from Group 1 and 1 from Group 2. Keep 'em coming! :)

I sent out photo collection assignments to the volunteers - in 3 groups, just like with the recording volunteers. All of the instructions were in the PM - if you have questions please reply there. Time is getting short for getting this all together, so if you volunteered to help on this project, PLEASE find a little time to do your part as soon as you can. Thanks!

I am busily nagging RayEthier to get his recordings done (we've had some issues with the levels, but we're getting closer) so I can convert the WMA files and send them to you, Ken. He's worth waiting for, he has such a nice voice :-)

Can't wait to see the final product!

Just an FYI and for the record - I can't take any credit/blame for the poem (with the exception of editing one line) - KUDOS and applause should go to blindjustice, posthumous (who knew he had this kind of talent??) and Bear_Music.

If I had written it, it would have had simpler words and been much more violent. :P

Reminder / Clarification for the photo collectors -

I just need you to send me the LINKS to the images you are suggesting for any given line. Just the links. So if you don't want to email your list (preferred), you can PM it.

Scratch that - I just realized it will be MUCH more advantageous to use the [thumb]123456[/thumb ] format IN THE GROUP PM THREAD. Thanks.

Also, notice I am putting this cool little yellow flag on the posts that have relevant information to make it easy to find when scanning through the thread. :)
