Awwwwe, marKo - you missed the deadline by inches. :P
Kidding. I am (probably over-)confident I will be able to leverage the talents of everyone who volunteers. Just remember that the whole point is that it's the holidays and we are all friends and nobody gets hurt feelings or drinks too much and starts ranting about how they really feel and says things they regret and makes everyone feel awkward and sets off an emotionally unstable member who goes on a destructive rampage that requires police intervention, bail money, lawyers, doctors, etc. ....where was I? Oh yeah, Merry Christmas everyone, let's have fun with this and keep smiling through it all. :D

You have got it wrong, Ken. I come across much nicer when I am not sober, rational or business like! Merry Christmas! ;)
PS I think in my weird way I have energized DPC to finally do something interesting! I like it! I hope this poem will well surpass the previous version and will be remembered for generations of DPCers to come! :)

That's ok, Paul. I got something special in mind for festive nudes. ...I'll need to shave first, though... :P

Margaret: as much as I see that some of what I jokingly rambled about may fit, I did not have anyone in mind and frankly I could have been describing anyone here - myself included. ;-) In any case, drink up, Margaret. :P

I have a pair of Too kids that would be willing to read. And both are registered users to boot.

Poem is almost ready. Just some last minute edits by jack valenti.

I'll finalize the poem tonight and start assigning lines by tomorrow. I will PM each person assigned lines. The poem won't be published publicly until the project is completed. Once the reading assignments are done an while I am waiting to receive the recordings, I will need to compile photos - for this I think I will need to split the poem up into maybe 4 or 5 parts and have volunteers assigned to each part - I may split it up more since we have so many volunteers. I'll give them each the list of portfolios to pick from (from the volunteers in this thread) and they will be tasked with choosing 1 photo and 1 alternate per line, GET the images and email them to me - for most images that are not your own, this means you will probably have to screencapture/crop because of the gif overlay "theft protection". ;-)

So be patient until you hear from me this weekend. Thanks.

Unfortunately there is a very simple workaround this one. I can share it via PMs if it helps.

Well certainly one can ask each of the portfolio volunteers to send the image to them, but it's just easier to screen grab and crop it. The list of portfolios to pick images will be lengthy.

It is via the browser, not email. I don't want to post the way to do it in a public forum.

Oh I see what you are saying - and yes, I know what method you are probably referring to, and so do many others, but that's actually a little more complicated than just a screen grab & crop. If you want to, go ahead and PM it to me and I'll include it as an option in my instructions to the photo collectors.

For those of you with PCs and windows 7 or higher, 'snipping tool' is easier than screen capture. I'd say it's even easier than the protection workaround.
