Day 3
This image was unappreciated by the challenge voters. It marks a time period where I started to care less about the score and more about photography.

Two versions..this is what I love about digital photography, the endless possibilities.

Will definitely try to get some commenting done tonight.

Day 3 - Jan. 29, 2012

On this evening I took a drive by myself out to Valley Forge to shoot. I had been feeling stressed and agitated and just went for a drive/walk through the park. After my photo walk, I felt good. This particular shot marks the beginning of my exploration of landscape composition.

Day 4 - a few days off the mark, there was nothing interesting in that period.

I have put links to the SEP presets in the previous images.

Day 4 - The Chase

The person in front is Taylor Milne, 2008 Olympian in the 1500m. At this race he was trying to make Olympic standard at an indoor meet, which would have been crazy considering it would have been both indoors and a solo effort at the front. He ran 3:38, two seconds short of his mark.

From this meet I sold over $700 in photos. It was the first time I ever sold anything and it was two days after I created a website. It was cool to be compensated for something I had no intention of making money from.

It was hard to shoot in this complex. I had the ISO ramped to 3200 at minimum, f/2.8, and still had to contend with irregular lightning, especially when I was shooting the pole vaulters because of the ceiling lights.

There were so many good shots to choose from for this period. I shot an open mic session at a local bar and some of those photos I really like. Wish it didn't overlap with this track meet for this side challenge.

No picture for day 3, this is day 4:

Impulse shot out the kitchen window one foggy morning. I grabbed the P&S for convenience, but she stayed a few more minutes, and so I was able to grab the big gun. Somehow, I lost the fog in processing.

Unless I find something at work (like a broken connecting rod, or the like), my next look-back will be on Day 10. I really should get out more often...
