Ominous Perfect Storm 2. Late in the season. Bizarre left hand turn predicted. A natural disaster in the making, if the predictions come true. Let's hope this turns out to be nothing. The timing is dangerous, relative to the election and precarious stock market. Perfect Storm 1 of Halloween 1991.

Stay safe out there.

Oh, that would be rather amusing to me. What's the contingency plan for that sort of thing? I know the rules of succession, but not of hurricane-during-voting...

I think it raises the chances we will not have an election decision on election night. (sort of like the three week uncertainty in 2000)
eta: because three swing states are in the path of the hurricane VA, OH and PA

During the early voting period, which puts more emphasis on voting day turnout and veracity of voting machine results.

And we've never seen effects from a storm like this last more than a week have we? ;)

Good point. In the progressive states... yes.

...

There are so many problems with voters and the voting system that the hurricane is really the least problematic issue facing us this election.

well it really doesn't matter, every state that could be affected will go to Obama anyway. may as well save the resources and our time and just give him those electorates.

haha I'm not even gonna say anything about the whole discussion, since I'm not a natural-born citizen and Department of Homeland Security had trouble finding me in their files for a while. Almost as if I didn't exist.

I don't think they are too organized over there (I didn't say that). It took them a few months to find me in the system (I needed to be found to get financial aid for school). And I don't know mike_311 lol

Y'all can laugh about this and the election, but... your neighborhood Bear, his sweetie PennyClick, and the notorious Whitrerook are stuck on a sandbar thrusting into the North Atlantic and potentially right at the point where these two systems collide. We gotta take it seriously here...

then it's ok, inshallah ;)

elections and the safety of the people are two very different things, unless its the gold coast thats getting hit [wild guess]
