It should be FUN to look over the photos and vote,
NOT an eye test.

You have rated 48 of 78 images (62%) in this challenge.
You have commented on 13 images (16%) in this challenge.
You have given an average score of 5.4167.

Yea I think I'm done voting too. Sometimes I don't even know what to say or do with a photo so I skip it. Had a lot of those this challenge. Pretty disappointing challenge I think, to be honest. Some gems though, of course.

I love how you put this. That's how I was feeling looking through the images. I felt like i was playing Where's Waldo except trying to find "distractions" instead of a man in a striped shirt.

Speaking of which. I was thinking I'd LOVE another Where's Walso challenge. ;)

Dang it. You know the funniest part is I did it once, fixed it, but then I didn't get the link posted right, so I deleted it and typed it WRONG again. Ughhh. I'll just continue blaming my tablet. It's too small too type. Photoshop Touch sucks (no really) it's so slow, it won't do RAW. Whine, whine, whine.

ETA: The tablet did it again. It added that sneaky second "o" all by itself!! :P haha.

Maybe a tack sharp stock photo is what some people are looking for, but I like blurred things and an uneven composition, and that doesn't not define something distracting to me. Having a hard time voting. :) Oh, and my score is mid 5's, as usual. LOL I did receive three great comments though!

I got your comment Judy!

Correct me if Im wrong in assuming that a distraction in a image is nothing more than an artifact that distracts from the main subject being photographed ex. still life flower that has a straw stem or piece of grass in front of one of the flowers. Why does the distraction need to be exemplified as over the top? I received a couple of comments that stated my distraction didn't catch their eye long enough so they scored me low...wth??? Jus curious.

Maybe I'm wrong, but my take was to take something that is normally an obvious distraction and make it work in the image.

I'm getting a lot of comments about how there aren't enough distractions, how come when the challenge isn't distractions everyone picks them apart and points out things I didn't notice but the challenge becomes distractions and NOBODY can see them?

Well... It is DPC isn't it? Shoot for the moon, or people will fail to notice.

I think people are enjoying the things I found to be distractions...

Still, the score is 5.8ish, so I can't really complain too much.

Its strange I'm getting nothing but bad comments but my pic is sitting around 5.4, not great but much better than the comments would show

Getting hammered with the comments, but I don't think too bad for my first challenge.

+ eleventy-billion

Too bad from the comments I am getting, the voters don't agree. Seems they are expecting bad overall image = good score in this one.

Currently at 5.3

But, why not? Would be my first one...shouldn´t be picky in this nerve wracking competition

Edit: By the way: lowest scored ribbons on DPC ever?

I finally got a commenter who sees the distractions in my pic the way I see them. Namely distractions that would be cloned out in a natural,'not created' scene.

All good.
