Hi folks

A very brave young man whom I taught when he was younger, now takes part in these amazing challenges to raise money for charity. He is aiming to complete 25 journeys of 1000+ miles, each using a different form of non motorised transport, raising £1,000,000 for a variety of charities. This journey is swimming 1000 miles up the Missouri. If you are in the area or know someone in the area of St Louis, please ask them to greet him on Saturday!
DAVE CORNTHWAITE
‎556 days and 965 miles of swimming has brought us to St Charles, Missouri. 13 hours in the water today, which is now chillier than a polar bear's fridge. In two days the hardest challenge of my life comes to an end at the Gateway Arch in St Louis, 10am on Saturday. If you know anyone nearby please encourage them to come out, they might see a bearded man in a wetsuit collapse!

For more info on this and his other completed expeditions see: //en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Cornthwaite

Yep Bear it has been quite a while! I must admit I think things have moved on so far on this site that it's probably passed me by! The advanced editing and the photos in the challenges are way beyond me! Think I might just be an observer now!

Anyway, I hope any of you in ST Louis will greet Dave Saturday. He really is the most remarkable young man. He has already completed 1000 mile challenges in Australia and USA and writes about them. He is very humorous and self-motivated
His website www.davecornthwaite.com is full of info and photos so please visit it.

Will try to put some new photos in my portfolio as as soon as I can - have taken a few in the past 2 years!!!

Please don't take it the wrong way, but if you edit like you type, I can see what the issue is.

I wish I wasn't booked with assignments tomorrow I'd run up to St. Louis and take some photos. Great project and congrats on doing a great thing for cancer research.

:)

Glad you didn't take it badly. I think it's a lack of taking your time, and slowing down enough to make sure it's as good as you can really get it. Just like typing, there's a lot of error correction, and experimentation to find what works well.

I will almost always respond to "How do I edit this" type threads, so if you have questions, please, please, please post them up! We need something to keep us entertained around here anyway.
