Quick question. It's a marathon, right? Shouldn't the denominator for the average score and rankings be the sum total of all of the FSs so far? It's not a Rosie Ruiz race, is it? |

The denominator, be it, average score or sum total will not effect the outcome of the FSM even if a participant skips a month or more. Referencing Rosie Ruiz, she got credited for a quick time by skipping a stage or section of a marathon. Since the FSM's denominator is based on each stage (month) percentile and then multiplied by all twelve stages, a missed stage (month) results in zero points added to the participants total which is still divided by twelve. So if a participants chooses to skip a stage/month then their total score will decrease; the highest score wins. |
