FOR SALE

I have recently relocated to Shreveport, Louisiana and I've been told that there are a lot of movies made here. Do you suppose that explains this thing being in craigslist??

Googled the area code listed (661) Kern County and Los Angeles County, hmm.

In this day and age, people keep their cell phone numbers, so that may not be as odd as it sounds. The price, though, well that certainly makes one wonder!

the listing says $40, that threw me off.

Yeah that's true. In fact I'm one of those, keeping my Virginia cell # here in Louisiana. I'm guessing the connection to the LA area (as in Los Angeles, not Louisiana which is also LA :) ) is to the movie industry.

I used to live in Shreveport...Great place to live....I lived down the road from Barksdale. I am in Monroe now...We need to have a shreveport GTG

That would be fun, but it's more fun when it's cooler! Maybe a Fall GTG or the traditional Mardi Gras GTG? :)
I bet Sher is selling this........rofl!

You're not kidding "wait for fall!" I lived here from '84 to '91 (wifey's from here and that's why we've returned) but even so, it's quite an adjustment to re-acclimate from Shenandoah Valley summers to the heat & humidity of the bayou country. Cowboy, bergie, sher (and anyone else in the area) let's plan something for the fall.

I've heard rumor that ambaker may be in the TX area for state fair, so maybe while he's here?

Oh, I see. I leave Shreveport then you plan a GTG. :-) Depending on the timing I might be able to make it over from Abilene.

I was wondering if next spring anyone may be interested in a Rattle Snake Roundup in Sweetwater, TX next year?

...and yes they do alot of movies in the Bossier/Shreveport area. I would love to take that crane out to Flagg Lake on Barksdale and just sit and wait for the birds over the lake.

Any excuse for a party, right? I've fished Flagg Lake in the '80s, what a cool place. And I've done the Sweetwater Rattlesnake Roundup too... still have the hat. Both are definitely events I would love to experience again.

That will be great if you can make it here from Abilene.

I'm in, regardless of where and when! Ken, we've all come to see you many times! Without you there, it just wouldn't be the same!
