There are talks about the D600 is coming out soon. Maybe later this year. Should I sale my D700 now before it drop in price? Or wait and see what the D600 have to offer before selling the D700?

are you planning to upgrade?

the used market for cameras inst like lenses, and the value is largely dependent on body condition, age and actuations. i imagine the price drop on a new body may affect the aftermarket value, but i dont think it will be too extreme.

contrary to reason, you may also have an easier time selling later as the market will be flooded with people looking to cash in on your cast off.

that is happening now with the canon 5d mkii, there are loads of sellers and buyers for that one now that the 5d mkiii came out.

to add do you really have a good reason to upgrade? there are lots of people dumping the 5d mkii as if it was a disaster when there inst anything wrong wit it except it older and the previous owners had really no reason to upgrade except to have the latest and greatest.

Why are you selling your D700? Has it stopped taking pictures? I guess if you are going to sell it because of the D600 then it's probably best to wait until the D600 is out to see if you actually want one. What i've heard so far about the D600 doesn't make me want one myself as it may not have an internal motor so i won't be able to use most of my lenses on autofocus. I'd like a second full frame but i think i'll pick up another d700 next year.

it only have 10K shutter action. I can sale my D700 for around $2000 now then buy the D600 for $1500. So I will have a better newer camera for about the same price.

i read that it WILL have an internal motor. My D700 works fine!

Ah, with an internal motor then i might be interested as i'm sure the high ISO will be stunning. I like the build/size of the d300/d700 though so would probably stick with that. A full frame in a d7000/d90 sized body would be tempting though.

That's good news then. A full frame D5100 wasn't something i'd be keen on.

So sale D700 or not to Sale D700 is the question?

I would change a D700 only for a D800 or better. D600 should be a cheaper camera than D700. Photographers with smaller sensor (like me) could upgrade towards full frame, but if I were you, I would keep my D700 (unless you're interested in video).
