Here's the sign-up thread. The premise is you a select lens (a prime works great, but you can also tape your zoom or shoot totally wide or tele, as well) and you're confined to shooting at that focal length for the month. If you want to join, go right ahead but tell me what lens you're using and I'll get you added. We're running posting from May 5th to June 5th.

Remember- no cropping to force you to use the focal length itself. Try to comment as able. Also, if you don't leave your exif intact, could you add the focal length to the title on upload? It would be appreciated so we could see what you're working with.

Here's my first attempt.....

I love this lens, but I'm not good with it......yet, I hope.

My kid, ready for the prom last night......seemed like a nice start for my month....

From our trip to the ocean last week, wife, sister and our dog Gap, no crop, converted in Silver Efex Pro and i added a glamor glow in CEP.
I love this little camera and lens.

May 05 - Cow

Still making a Photo-a-Day, so I'll try to combine it with this side challenge.

50mm at 1.8, just wanted to see how useful this aperture really is. At 1/5000, looking at the original I can locate no more than a couple of mm^2 in focus...
No crop, just ran through Color Efex/Glowing Fade recipe.
Another issue right now is the color temperature (of the original), I'm struggling with calibration on all my monitors... I don't know which one to trust.

Day 1 @ 100mm

I do not usually take pictures of flowers because too many people here are really good at it.

Hey sometimes I'm slow but I just noticed the VIEW FULL SIZE option on some of these photos, really helpful. How long has that been there?

Day 2.....still with the prom pics...

I am doing this as a shot a day.....the first was Friday afternoon, this one was yesterday.

I'm liking this learning how to compose a frame so I don't crop it.

I'm behind and I know it - but i'll try to be more vigilant about putting up the photos. anyway here's day 1:

and here's day 2:

in this side challenge i'll be putting up absolutely random stuff using the 100mm with more crazy edits than normal, and it'll be based on whatever my fancy of the day is!

thanks in advance for any criticisms/comments/advice.

Day 2

Yesterday's shot was more panoramic, this one's more of a closeup. High ISO too (don't remember exactly but I had been running ISO 800 to 1600 mostly).

* Request *

If everyone could include what focal length shot at so no one needs to refer back to the original post.

Day 2 50mm once again shot at f/1.4

not the greatest.
