I tried to upload a photo today (for the first time in a while) and noticed the submission method has changed(?).

I followed the directions (or thought i did) and at the upload point i received this message: "File exceeds the 300 kB limit". What's up with that and how do I correct. Thanks for the help.

Well, you can change that by how you save it after you're done processing. What software are you using?

Though, this shouldn't be a problem, as the new uploader will automatically downsize it for you, so it seems sorta odd that you received that message...
I just uploaded a straight jpeg for my FS last night, straight from camera and the uploader took that fine at full res and size.

try the classic uploader if the drag & drop is giving you grief. Or try the drag & drop if the classic is giving you problems.
i've uploaded 1.2mb files by accident without problem....
