Just read the blog - Dallas' spirits in spite of his injuries are an inspiration to us all. What an amazing little guy.

Oh Denielle, my thoughts and prayers go to you and your little soldier.
Be strong for him and he will recover soon.

I hope he gets the very best help possible, no-one should have to go through this, I'm so saddened by it.

Poor little guy. He seems to be handling it with great aplomb. Healing beams from California.

Denielle, would it be possible for us to send cards to Dallas at the hospital? Maybe some funny pictures or cards would help cheer him up as he's going through this difficult healing process.

I'm a pretty hard nosed guy, but jeez, these have given me a genuine tear in my eye and knot in my belly.. Thoughts are with you all.

Is there anything from the UK we could have sent over that would lift his spirits? Anything at all?

thank you. I'm trying to keep everyone updated with everything. the caringbridge site is the best way to keep everyone updated. he's in surgery right now, the first of many. so we may be here another few weeks to a few months. just gotta take it one day at a time. he's being so brave through all of it. he's an inspiration to me, my husband and children, the family, and everyone he meets. he'll get through this, it's just a matter of time.

thanks for all the support, I know he would be happy to know so many people (lots who he doesn't even know) is thinking about him.

Since we have folks from all over the US and the world here, how about a picture wall or a picture scrapbook? We can all have a 5x7 print made of something from our hometown or area, then maybe include a sticker on the back with some information. Those of you with kids could send a picture of YOUR kids saying hello to Dallas. We can print at home and mail, or for those of you overseas, if it's easier, you can email me a file and I'll get a batch printed at Costco and send them all at once.

What do you guys think? After all, we ARE a photography website... :-)

I think that's a great idea! I still have access to a clothing sales store, too, so I can get stuff there as well.

Reading the Dallas's journal, it appears he is a Kurt Busch fan (NASCAR). So I decided to look up Mr. Busch to see if he could send Dallas a letter or something. I found this email address on his website: KBI2012@KURTBUSCH.COM along with his Management Company's info. I sent them a short email and thought if anyone else had a few minutes they could as well. Maybe the more emails they get the more likely they will take some time to send Dallas a note or something.

I've been following these threads and just wanted to say that I'm wishing you, your son, and your family the best. I took the liberty of sending an email to Nascar's fan feedback asking about how to possibly contact Kurt Busch, I figure I'd start there. I also have their phone number which I found posted, I'll try to give them a ring tomorrow. (Edited post to say great job on finding the info SemperMarine!!!)

Lastly, I think a great way to honor your little man would be with a Challenge... Something like, Courage: In honor of Dallas Then take all those images and make a scrapbook :)

Well, please continue to keep us posted and best of luck

I agree whole-heartedly, 'Courage: In honour of Dallas' is such a good idea for a challenge topic. It would be great if Dallas were well enough to look at the entries and pick his favourite photo - a special Dallas award on top of the three normal ribbon winners.
