There's not much to discuss. If you look at previous b&w challenges, you'll see the same variations, with some of them coming out on top. It seems to be an accepted form -- but I guess that's up to the voters.

If someone wants to "teach us" how to do this right, then that person should do so before the challenge begins or after the voting ends.

There are some incredible shots in this challenge. I've been impressed so far.

Very very, very very, let me stress VERY, slowly rising. Up to a 4.67 from a 4.61 earlier today. Something like 20+ votes added. Seems like most people don't like it.
I don't blame them. it was a first attempt at something difficult and definitely something I wouldn't normally shoot. Much more challenging that it sounds.

Just finished voting on this one, and there were definitely a few standout images, but I think I learned it's very hard to get a really great sunrise/set shot in B&W. I didn't enter anything in this one because it was rainy all week. Then yesterday I had the thought that I should have just mixed up a Tequila Sunrise and taken a photo of that! Oh well!

I'm happy with my score, but disappointed in the slow slide today. I was hoping to get a new photo on my top row.
