Not your imagination, but then again it doesn't have to be a self portrait, so they still may be within the rules.

Looks like a class at school has done this as a project. It's happened before in earlier challenges.

many entries also not taking advantage of the 800 px limit...

Not a bad start, but if the art challenge is any gauge, this will be a 5.1 by morning.

Very weird, as other have said - many similar images (but then you could say what's new! ';) and many undersized images (that's new)

that's what I was thinking... so many kids jumping with desks/chairs in the background, and so many undersized snapshot images...

But the ones who made a distinct effort and also paid attention to having a well composed shot will see it pay off, some very good shots that are leaps and bounds (pun intended) above the rest

I shot for this but forgot to enter, it's a shame because I made a fool of myself in the supermarket.

I wonder if the group of kids who all took photos together are going to sign up and vote each other 10 and everyone else low scores? Somehow this challenge got a LOT of notice from, what I can only presume is, non-members...

I've gone back through and bumped up all the photos that actually look like they were serious about making an effort in this challenge :)

Thought I would share this. I just saw a commercial with our theme in it.
Check it out.

Almost all the photo that look like a class of students are taken with the same camera, OLYMPUS IMAGING CORP.VR320,D725. And a couple with a Canon and one with a vid.

Unfortunately I didn't shoot anything for this. I actually had some good ideas but never bothered to do it. It was fun to vote on, and like others, I noticed the similar photos with the same people, and the multitude of undersized images. It does seem like it was some sort of class project, so I sure hope they don't go though and give each other 10s. Sad to say they weren't very good.

Yes, I would feel very differently about it if they were well taken shots, with some thought given to the technical side of photography as well as composition, and also met the challenge. But most of them are just tiny blurry pics of kids in a dark classroom full of clutter... I'm all for doing it for an educational thing, but have a quick look first at the quality of photos submitted to challenges on this website beforehand...

ETA: Some are even the exact same picture, resized...

Right click on the thumbnails and view EXIF data. You have to have a program that lets you view the EXIF.

i'm extremely frustrated with this challenge! what is up with all of those too small, blurred images! And like other people have said, there are pictures of the same person! that automatically makes all of those pictures' scores lower! (seriously people!?)

It is against the rules to discuss challenge entries during voting....however if you feel there have been violations please request a validation notice but vote as if they are legal.

This pretty much exactly how I felt. I'm kicking myself for not entering this one, just never had the time this week to get out and implement my ideas. I was taken aback my all the small, blurry, clutter compositions.

Seconded. Just talk about your scores.
