As long as the "Unofficial Points & Ribbon Race" is under consideration (see: Get Satisfaction) you can see the results at //dpcribbons.hajeka.com.

Note: Jonathan ( jeger) stopped with this after years of great work

No fancy ribbons for the winners (yet), but we still have some months to go and let's hope it's included soon here at DPC.

Some links:
Points & Ribbon Race 2011 thread
Jeger's site with the results from 2002 until 2011

Score is still the same: 10 points for nr.1 in a challenge, 9 for nr.2 ,..., 1 point for nr.10

Please send me a note if you see some mistakes. I'll post a note here if the site is updated. Hope you like it.

Got "punished" immediately :) Missed a DQ (thanks Cinnabear) and from now on there should be no caching, so you always see the latest results (I hope).

As for the ranking:
1. Number of points
2. When equal: least number of entries.
3. When equal: highest average score for the top 10 entries
4. When equal: I guess it's random :)

Except for nr.1 there's always room for discussion!

First of all thanks for all the work jeger put into the Point & Ribbon Race with stats from 2002 through 2011. Second, thanks hajeka for continuing the stats. The site stats look great and the clickable links are a nice feature.

Thanks to the both of you for doing this.

Just added something new to //dpcribbons.hajeka.com

Load it and you see the results of the current month. The "Ranking 2012" gives the running total for this year.
Note: the +/- scores are the differences with the end of the previous month.

Hope you like it.

Looks really cool!! Thanks!!

Oh wait... I'm dropping down in February. I don't like the changes!!!

Oh wait... those changes don't have to do with anything, it's my own fault I'm dropping?

Ok, I can like the changes again!

Thanks!! :D

Just made some small changes on //dpcribbons.hajeka.com

You now see (default) the results for 2012. Click on one of the months to see the results for just that month

Note: if you don't see "Unofficial Points & Ribbon Race 2012" in the window-title you need to reload the page

Edit: the link is now clickable

This is great fun!

One thing I noticed, the +/- columns seem to be the increase/decrease since last update instead of last month. Either way works just fine, but maybe we could have a date of that last update?

The +/- columns in the "Total ranking" are the current changes in place/points since the last challenge of the previous month

The +/- columns in the month overview (the main update I made today, apart from some minor layout changes)(click on "Feb") are the changes in place/points compared to the previous challenge. Normally it just shows who gets the points after the last challenge that ended, but we had 2 challenges ending on the same day, so (for this time) you see who gets the points for 2 challenges.

Hope that's clear enough. If not, keep asking!

Just to make things more visual, instead of dry figures, I added a link to the highest scoring image. See //dpcribbons.hajeka.com/

So: The "Jan" button will show the highest scoring January top-10 image, ditto for "Feb". The "Ranking 2012" the best until now. Only top-10 images counts.

Not sure if it's a good or bad idea. Any thoughts?

Btw. If you don't see any images, please reload the page.

sorry...

Things seem to be soaking in a little slowly today. I'm not understanding how the image is determined. For example, the image that's shown for January for me is a 1st place 7.4 image. When you say only top-10 images count, how was this image determined, and does it mean anything?
