A friend of mine had two Kitties turn up in his yard, so he asked me if I wanted one. It's kind of funny as just the night before Luke and I were lamenting over Losing Bella, our black cat, ( the dog chased her away and she never returned).
So When my friend asked us if we wanted the kittie I said YES straight away, she's pretty cute, and hopefully she will fit in well with our family of 5 humans 1 dog and 9 guinea pigs.

But we need a name, any ideas?

They say that you should name cats with names that end in the "Y", "ie" sound. Having said that....Lucky...Sweetie...Kitty...Prissy! She's darling and you are very lucky to have this new little addition to your family! Congrats!

LOL! I like the way you think! :P (I have to admit that when I first typed my 2¢, I spelled "cat", "kat" without thinking, lol, and had to go back and fix it!)

Ginger sounds good to me. Is it a girl or a boy?
I don't know why but Heidi comes to mind.

"Le Pew" sounds like a great name to go with "Pepé"

I was trying to find something that related to how she came to be in your family. Started with "vagabond" in thesaurus.com. For some reason "Pauper" jumps out. Maybe that's not cheery enough. My first thought was actually "Pumpkin" and went to "Pumpernickel" before I went down the vagabond route. I also looked up orange cat names and liked "Cheddar". So, to summarize...

Pumpkin
Pumpernickel
Pauper
Cheddar

my friend has this nameing thing about switching the first letters on each syllable...so misfit would be fismit

The kitty will eventually reveal it's name. Just spend a few days getting to know her and suddenly one of the suggestions will be the one that fits.

That's very true. My cat literally named himself "Alo", because that's how he meows.

I have been calling her " Pumpkin " already, it might just stick. Time will tell.
