I have one doubt: there's an extra rule for this challenge and I don't know why there's this sort of explanation for an expert editing challenge... what am I missing? :)

Nothing :) I asked this same question to the SC, and they answered that expert editing permits what the extra rule says (and more), so you can just discard it.

Thank you Christophe - I lost a couple of days thinking of that... but in any case I couldn't shoot the last weekend, therefore now it's time to turn on my brain :)

well, looks like this is a moot challenge now....

Not interested in this challenge because voters punish images which are not cartoons. It's okay.

I've entered but feel the same way. My skills do not lie in over processing in PS. I do however enjoy viewing and voting on these entries.

In one of the recent expert editing challenges there were plenty of non- expert edited images in the top ten if I recall correctly. You just have to have an over the top great image to take the gold.

well, i was neither excited about the topic, nor confident of my "Expert Editing" abilities, but I decided to jump in and really ended up enjoying putting it all together.

I relate to this very well. This is my first Expert Editing entry that I attempted to use some of the additional things this class of editing allows. It did not turn out as well as the image I had in my head, but it turned out better than I feared it might given my editing skills. I am glad I attempted it. At least I am until the votes start coming in.
