It snowed pretty good last night and I am such a sissy, I will not be attending. Sorry guys, maybe we can do this again in the spring. |

Lots of snow coming down up north, but we are going to head down in a few minutes. If we don't show up within an hour or two, send a search party. ;-) (kidding. I'll post here if we don't make it...) |

I'm going to head on down and hope others make it there- safely! I can't stick around long as I need to work some today and need to deliver some of that work while roads are still passable- I hope! :P |

Occasionally yes. 2 inches becomes a blizzard here, with steep streets, and crazed starbucks addicted maniacs on the road. |

Heh! I just checked your weather forecast, 1 to 2 inches over the next 36 hours. We've been lucky this year. We've only had a couple of dusting's so far. The past two winters were record breaking snow years, so we needed a break. Have fun with your snow day! |

Really sorry I couldn't join you guys. I'm in my office now rushing to get my work done and delivered. Big flakes outside my window- hoping I can make it across town and then back home up on the hill before streets get too bad. I have a snow shovel a kitty litter ready for the worst :P
Don't head home too late and be safe driving guys :) |

I made it home ok, even if a bus (on Second Ave) was right in front of me, slipping and sliding backwards, so I hurried around him. A Goodwill truck were struggling to get up on a ramp so he stayed put for the moment. Driving across I-90, visibility was like a quarter mile, all you could see was gray all around and big flakes. Traffic was moving at 25-30 mph...Figures it would stop snowing shortly after I got home. Glad I went though. Will post some photos asap.
It was great to catch up with those that attended.
We can always make up for it, doing a similar event in the future. |

It was tough for us, but we all survived the SoBe GTG. Wish we could have sent your team some of our weather. There's a thread for sharing the 10th Anniversary images with DPC'ers from all over, since we all shared the same DPC event.

Really, it was a cold day here... It got down to probably 60 or so at night during our walk. So jackets were a must! Most of the day was reasonably nice though.

Not if you live in South Beach... 60's is getting very close to heavy jacket weather with fur lined everything.
ETA: Mind you: This is a place where 98% of the homes do not have any sort of heater installed, and the windows leak horribly. :) I often joke that my windows are almost as good as a screen, except that they won't keep insects out.

That was a good guess!
It must have been 50 something by the time we finished the art walk thing. Even with full winter gear on, we moved inside to eat.
I would love to go shoot somewhere that there is snow. I lived in Michigan for about 6 months one time, and loved the way it looked, though it's a pain to do anything in besides shoot photos. It would be fun for about a week to see it again like that.
We carried an air boat up to McNab Illinois in 76 when they had a big blizzard. They had reports of a ufo sighting in the local papers because they had never heard of them, and we were buzzing the cornfields and river at night on it with bright lights shining. It's a wonder we didn't get shot at by some of the locals LOL. Attitude can turn snow into adventure.
Cory's windows.

There was some talk about doing another GTG in the Spring when the weather improves. |
