Today first live interview ever. Judi is the lucky DPCer. I will be asking first few questions, then Judi will take some questions from the audience. It should be fun. Visit the chatroom for the hours and duration, also for you to check your OS/Browser compatibility.

(Some transcript from the interview)

DPChat_Q: Which style of photography you like the most? wedding, portrait, animals, nude, macro etc.
Judi: whilst weddings are my bread and butter, i prefer to play with portraiture....it has so many opportunities to show the story.....
Judi: with that been said though...i cover all sorts of photography,...although i have been lucky of late to be able to cut out some of those areas
DPChat_Q: ok... cool, so with that, what is your main camera? do you have a brand preferation? Canon, Nikon, Pentax etc.
Judi: hahaha i am a canon girl...i have a stable of about 8cameras and just recently retired the onlynikon i have...thank god...i hated that thing
DPChat_Q: canon... which one do you have though.. rebel xTi
Judi: i really only used the nikon for infrared work...but this year converted my 40D to infrared only
Judi: i have 2 x 5DMkII, 2 x 5dMki and a few low end canons...my kids can use any of them but prefer to run with the MkII’s
DPChat_Q: I had 40D right before my D1x (yeah ok)... So, Raw or Jpg?
Judi: RAW all the way....i would not go any other way
Judi: there are times when you don’t have time to check eery setting and out here the light changes in seconds and sometimes that raw can save a good image
DPChat_Q: I remember our conversation back then when we had this DPC radio thing. I think I still keep the sound bites from there... Next question...
DPChat_Q: What do you think about future of photography?
Judi: the future is huge but unknown...with the amount of media around and technology constantly changing there are so many opportunities to be had by everyone...although that does make the industry rocky with regards to professionals keeping their status
Judi: i was interviewed on tv last night and they asked me a similar question regarding the floods and documenting it
Judi: i replied that in the 70’s and earlier there wasn’t many cameras around and so there wasn’t much documentation of the vent
Judi: nowadays everyone has access to media so the amount of coverage is insane
drtherien has joined the room.
Judi: this enables officials to get an accurate account of the event and be able to plan
for future eents

Thank you, Leo, for setting this up. It was really exciting to actually 'talk' to Judi and get her insight into photography.

We now have dpchatroom.com domain with new face. If you had IE problems before, please try again to see if it is fixed (it looks like fixed). The chatroom is not a popup window anymore.

I still can't get it to work. I'm on microsofts site trying to figure it out. It has to do with DEP (data execution prevention) and apparently there's no way to turn that off in explorer.

Hmmm... I saw you entering and leaving the room. I am not sure why it is doing that. My IE wasn't open up when the chatroom had this popup, but now works just fine. I thought your issue was the same.

I am very sorry to hear this is going on :-(

I just dropped over to take a look, and the new chatroom is pretty and easy to use.
Sorry Kelli that your IE is being cantankerous.
