Today is Remembrance day!
This is just a humble homage and acknowledgment for all those who have served and laid their lives for our freedom!

Canada Remembers
To the brave, past and present, old and young, men and women, anonymous to most of us, but so well known and loved by their families... Thank you!
Lest we forget...

remembrance day does not celebrate or endorse war it simple honours those brave men and women that made the ultimate sacrifice, ppl like the guy from the link piggy backing it for their own politcial view forwarding shouldnt be encouraged.

I would hazard a guess that Memorial Day is for Americans the equivalent of Remembrance Day in Canada and the UK.

Did that very thing right after the ceremonies... then I went to the local pub and bought all of the fellows in uniform a round.

In the USA this is referred-to (now) as Veteran's day, but it was originally "Armistice Day" -- commemorating the ceasing of hostilities 11/11/1918 (the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month ...), thus ending World War I.

I think the (subtle) difference may be that Veteran's day is set aside to honor living veterans, while Memorial Day commemorates the dead.
