Include two objects in your photo where the ratio in size of the two objects is 4 to 1.

Please don't post threads with identical titles, within minutes of each other with totally differing content.

Don't quite understand your request. However, I don't have to explain what I post. If the site council makes this request then I will more than happily oblige.

I suggest you read the forum guidelines.

Edited to add the link, oh and they're rules, not guidelines. Rule 3 is the one about duplicate threads.

The SC has many other things to do that are more important. It was a simple and polite request in order to avoid confusion on the site.

What's to understand? Don't post a thread with EXACTLY the same title as another thread posted the same day.
Easy peasy!

(in case you still don't get it)

Let's say you posted in one of the threads and you wanted to repost something in it or just read the replies a few days later. How would you know which thread you posted in?

Now let's say we have 50 guys like you on this site posting threads with exactly the same title.........

It wasn't a duplicate thread. The first was asking why the member to nonmember challenge ratio was 4 to 1, the other was a challenge suggestion.

I mean, let's be just a little nit picky guys and disregard my suggestion by arguing about this like three year olds. Again, if the SC has a problem with it let them speak up.

No, we GOT that part, we KNOW they're different. But we're simpletons, we get confused easily. So, as a matter of habit, we'd try to have slightly different thread titles, out of deference to our fellow simpletons.

As to the challenge suggestion itself, it seems absurd to me; it's just BEGGING for the worst sort of DNMC Nazi-ism, and we don't need to encourage that, it already happens too much.

ETA: for the simpletons among us, I'll spell out the scenario of voters measuring objects on the screen with rulers and commenting on the *actual* size ratio. I'll also postulate the debates as to whether or not a 1-foot object closer to the camera than a 4-foot object, so both appear the same height within the frame, meets the challenge or not. And if someone asserts that it DOES, I'll (hypothetically) ask how we're to know that the two objects are *really* 4-to-1... and so forth and so on...

I'm easily confused.

Would you please boil this post down using 1 to 4 words?

Thanks, Puppy Bear!

1. That
2. is
3. not
4. possible.

:-)

RPB

ETA: Or did you mean "1 to 4-letter words" and, like the simpleton/s you/we are, totally botch your post? If the answer is "yes", then MY answer changes to "Probably not without the indiscriminate use of pareidolia."

I should have titled it "Seemingly 4 to 1" and and avoided any vagueness. Furthermore, I never said anyone was a simpleton. However, if you can't look to the right of a post and see that one wasvin the general discussion forum and the other was in challenge suggestions, I don't hold much hope for ya! Love ya all, regardless.
