I'll join you in the 5.8 club. Though mine has been fluctuating quite widely so who knows where it will end up

Glad to see all the heavy hitter photoshop users shot the guys, it makes me glad I shot over in the other challenge. Some really creative work in the boy's room.

I didn't have time to get anything for either challenge today, but just finished voting on this one and holy schmoly! I was impressed. Equally impressed with the outrageous photoshopping as with what looks like the simpler, advanced editing shots. I hope to see a combination of both in the top 5. This one beat my average score given by quite a bit! Good jobs and good luck all!

I somehow did not like the overall quality of this challenge....
may be i was expecting something magical since it was expert editing...
participation is less too..

May be it is just me thinking this way

It's just you. :P

Though not many entries, I thought the quality was 99% top notch and was glad not to see too many fantastical PS jobs - I think the non-PS images will easily compete with them.

:)
Art, I was expecting too much from PS pro's.
It was my opinion that PS job, in general, should do better than non-PS ones...
mine is doing at 5/6 after 27 votes, much above my average, but i think i did a bad PS job...

Well mine seems to be in the lower quality. With a 5.4 I am disappointed.

I actually expected lower but I just laughed at the shot too much not to enter it.

i was blown away by some of the entries and i completely underestimated quality level i expected to see. while i spent nearly 5 hours editing my image, had i spent 10 i could have made it that much better. But i didn't have the time to dedicate to it. i would have loved to have re shot the portrait and edited another copy, but i devoted too much time as it was.

i think you are seeing the same as me, where you see amazing images on the net created my amazingly talented artists, the folks here may not have the expertise or the time to dedicate to such an image, i know i dont, but i they try nonetheless. However, they still did a damn fine job.

i love the expert editing becuase it really lets people open the box to what they want to accomplish, and its nice that we've had a higher frequency of them.

Fantastic challenge... Great portraits and really super fun PS stuff. Same in the female challenge. I have to say that every portrait had an emotional appeal and really seemed to come from the heart of each person who submitted.

Unfortunately, I did not get my image in on time. I am totally incompetent with photoshop. But I had fun trying and will try to post it in outtakes. It will probably take me that long to get it complete.

Score has yo-yo'd a little bit up to 7.3, down to 6.8, seem to be sitting in the middle currently at 50 votes...
Looking at some of the other photos though I think I will be lucky for a top 5, there are some great portraits!

Looking through the entries, I thought only a handful of images are worse than mine. I think this is going to be a very high scoring challenge.
