I think if we had a challenge that included all three of your sugestions at the same time it would be fun. Just kidding I like all of them but the volcanoes unless you buy the fare.

How about:
1. "Black and White" not B/W
2. Before and after
3. Rust
4. Metal
5. Glass

Enough from me, it is Saturday and I need to find something better to do.

I was thinking the picture to be of something "Black and White" not that the picture be made into a B/W picture. Is that any clearer now? Sorry about that, I knew what I meant.

Why not make a suggestion based on a description instead of the actual subject. Like the "Frightened Challenge" or "Aromatic Challenge".

This way there is less chance of submissions that are similar and less "not meeting the challenge" comments. The would allow for more interpretation and less on the literal. Food for thought.

Perhaps emotions, things in the dark, shiney, beauty and the beast, childs eye view, negative space, hell on earth,(no husband or wife photos), together, self portraits, no excuses of what to take pictures of. Enough is enough...wait a minute that's another one.

Maybe we should have required the song title photos to be square, like a record or CD cover...

Vehicle
Triangle
Top/bottom (downward or upward view of something usually seen from the side)
Flash of Inspiration (must use on-camera flash)

You should go and look at the 'pencils archive' if you think a boring subject means automatically boring pictures.

This gives me a do-over on an idea that didn't quite work...of course, how embarrasing if this one does worse!

Your right gordon the pencil photos are very good. I think its me because i think road signs is quite a hard challenge. I mean pencils you can pick up and move around and control everything, but road signs are stuck in the ground. I`m also worried about getting beaten up or carted away by men in white coats.
