Such a sad story. What a shame.

I normally don't vehemently disagree with a challenge suggestion, but this is one of those times. Sure, the fact that he died is sad, but there are a billion other people that would be much much more worthy of our recognition through such a challenge. The way this man became famous is absolute ridiculous, and should not be emulated or glorified.

Sorry if I struck a nerve, but every time I hear about this group of people, I'm disgusted.

I have no respect for someone who killed himself and his passenger by driving recklessly while under the influence.

For pete's sake add an extra rule about no toy cars...

Hey we need to do this, I'm a shoe in for the Blue with a Self Portrait! I get called a Jackass all the time!

Yes i understand that many people do not like the guys from jackass and sure there are many more people deserving of a memorial challenge. But think of the challenge entries that could come from the challenge. I think it would be interesting.

With all due respect, and acknowledging this individual was an artist because you tell me he is,
I never heard of the guy and would probably not investigate his oeuvre unless highly recommended,
to try to find a Challenge topic.

So, what did he do to make his reputation? I really am interested.

He behaved like a sophomoric, reckless jackass, and caught it all on tape.

There's no classy way to start an ultimate list of Jackass stunts, so let's just rip one off.

Fart Mask is the quintessential Jackass moment, showcasing both the franchise's shocking crudeness and the boys' penchant for MacGuyver-style inventions. In the name of science, Steve-O encapsulates himself in a helmet full of noxious fumes expelled from Preston Lacy's behind - and eventually his own vomit.

Bravo.

He was one of those freak accident stars. He would put toy cars in his ass....he would rollerblade into a brick wall...he would let someone kick him it the balls...etc...etc...

Yeah, that would make an interesting Challenge, alright.

When my honorary nephew was about 13 years old, he would brag about gathering together some of his friends who would generate some of these flatulent episodes and ignite them. They stopped when puberty really took hold and they burned some, suddenly precious, bits of their anatomy.

If this one comes to fruition, I'll probably (sorry) pass on that one.

Well, to be fair, he did miss filming his last greatest stunt (or did he?? Is there gonna be a snuff film on the way? Hell, I'd expect these guys to sell it too, it'd be in character for them for sure...)

Living close to the area, I liked Ryan, he was a regular on a local radio station and i absolutely loved Jackass.

But i agree.

He made a very stupid decision and took someone else's life as well.

Awww c'mon, why all the negative vibes...I need an excuse to play with matches and toy cars.

Please let's not glorify any more idiots, there are enough being glorified in the media and entertainment industry already.

If we do this one, we have to do Weiner...for obvious reasons.
06/25/2011 02:14:44 PM · #20
My reason for suggesting NOT to do this is that I don't want to see pictures of drunk people getting naked and puking everywhere while shooting eachother with BB guns and doing roadkill relay races on rollerskates. It just does not appeal to me in the least. My 16 y/o brother loves that show, but I'm incapable of understanding why. I honestly think it kills brain cells. Imagine the amount of photos that will be "hidden due to adult content". IMO, there are some things that people should never look at, nomatter how old they are.

Maybe I'm just being a party pooper. Wouldn't be the first time.

How about something more socially responsible, such as "Drink Responsibly" or "Don't Drink and Drive" ad campaigns challenges.

Got to say, he left this Earth a true Jackass.

For a socially irresponsible idiot that got himself killed doing what he did best, being a jackass, I'm not really feeling a loss.

Although, I feel that human Darwinism may have taken a loss, considering there is one less person in the world to show the moronic youth how to kill themselves.

Going 140 mph while at twice the legal limit.

Yup. Jackass.
