Does anybody know where are the good spots in Dusseldorf (or nearby) for taking landscape, people or other outdoor photography subjects. I'm leaving for Dusseldorf next week and try to manage to have 1 day for photo shoot.

The Eurovision Song Contest is there now and next week. Should present lots of people opportunities.

I did a quick google search and found this image that looks promising

Just looking around on the google maps, with those pictures shown, should help you find something. Its a really neat feature

Hi, I`m living in Duesseldorf. A good Place is the Architetcture in the Media Harbour. Or the Rhein-Promenade behind the Old Town Center in the middle of the city. Unfortunately we have actually a lot of construction sites. We are getting a new underground line. Maybe the huge construction sites are interesting for you. Landscape in the near of duesseldorf is mostly acres with useful plants. An recreation area is a.e. the Unterbacher lake with a lot of forest surrounding the area. If you wish to see the ruins of an old castle you should make a trip to Kaiserswerth. There is a nice center with old buildings and a good sight on the Rhein at the bank.

Regards

Chris

I would say sunrise/set can be captured good at the rhein promenade in the town center. You will have nice urban motives at this place,

Thanks Oliver it's really great shot, did you crop the image? I'll go and visit the Schadow Arkaden.

It's slightly cropped. Not worth visiting that place, it's much less impressing without Photoshop :D.

Be sure to see the MedienHafen for it's great architecture
, maybe also the Landtag (parliament) building .

If you like vintage cars, visit the Meilenwerk

If you arrive at the airport, it's also worth taking some pics.

Landscape around here is rather boring, some interesting places are down at the river Ruhr , at Kaiserswerth or at the Sechs-Seen-Platte (Six lakes) at the neighbored city of Duisburg , where you wiill also find this old steel plant.

If you're into design and interior, go to the Stilwerk mall next to the famous Königsallee .

If you need more info send me a PM, maybe we'll also find time to meet.

Thanks, Galatia. Left some comments. Photos would be easier to find if you had a portfolio :)
