This is a terrific and incredibly easy test. And it shows results in a number of ways. It clearly indicates that the majority of Americans don't have a clue about what's going on in the world. No wonder our politicians take such advantage of us. It's astonishing that so many people got less than half right. These results say that 80% of the (voting) public doesn't have a clue, and that's pretty scary.

There are no tricks here - just a simple test to see if you are current on your information. This is quite good and the results are shocking..

I believe it was Winston Churchill who opined that " . . . the biggest argument against democracy is a 5-minute conversation with the average voter . . ." CORRECT!

Test your knowledge with 11 questions, then be ready to shudder when you see how others did!

Take this test and post a screen shot of your result.

As a non-American, this test wasn't for me, but I was curious to see how I would do. I knew 3 and guessed the rest, getting 2 of the remaining 8 correct.

9/11 for me which i think is pretty good considering i've never been to America. I did have a couple of lucky guesses though.

I got questions 5 & 11 wrong.

10/11

Not much of valid test of anything really -- so not sure it proves much.

All questions except 5, 6, and 11 have been talked about in many, many new stories in recent months so if you listen or read current news you should know them.

Questions 5,6, and 11 you would have to have some prior knowledge or seen/heard a specific news story in order to know.

Hmmmm this looks big. What is the largest size we can post? I'm not a

Not bad for an ignorant American. We do tend to put our heads in the sand.

I think it proves that most of us here at DPC, even non-US citizens are
paying attention to the news. The people Churchill is talking about don't
generally "hang out" on DPC. You know, those people you see on TV who
think Afghanistan is part of the United States.

10/11. the results are disappointing, but not terribly surprising. there are some pretty ignorant people out there.

Not bad

11/11. Any American that can't get at least 9/11 on this should not be allowed to vote.

Growing up, my dad used to say "America is a great place, unfortunately you have a constitutional right to be a moron". Sad but true.

something is wrong with this test.... result was I had 2 wrong answers... so I had to look up and see what I got wrong.

The wrong ones ware not my answers!!!
I even hit back button on my computer to make sure I did not check them by accident... my checked answers were different from the ones test is stating in final results..

How is that possible??????

Your chart was exactly the same as mine so I was lazy and just used yours. I knew it either had to be coal or hydroelectric. I guessed wrong.

I guess listening to talk radio isn't as bad for you as some people seem to think.

Which one did I miss?

I think this is a good "are you up on current facts that people are concerned about" test. It a somewhat more than a current events test...but much less than a civics exam.

Oh well...it was fun.

10/11 I got the obese one wrong. I assumed that there were more of them, especially the fat heads.
