Well thank you. I would like to thank my Wife, my children, my agent and all the wonderful people that made this possible.

Good luck everyone!

I agree. There are some very amazing pictures! I am very impressed with the imagination people used for this challenge. I am just hoping to place above 50% for this one :)

I submitted at 10:56 pm CST...just under the wire...I probably should have taken about 5 more minutes in PS doing something. LOL

It figures that there are some great submissions; this is the first challenge I've participated in in a long while.

I didn't enter...I had a good idea, don't know how it would have came out though. I didn't have time to set it up. Oh well, maybe next time. I will vote though. I like to see great shots. :)

this is a really great challenge..lots of great submissions. Haven't had a lot of voters yet..but only at a 3.75. I am PRAYING that my score goes up soon. I am almost sure it's not worth that. I hope it's not too obvious what picture is mine....
I just realized it has something in it that may give it away.
Hope that doesn't cause a problem.

HA! While you were sitting back, relaxing, taking a sigh of relief at 10:56 CST, I was still frantically filling out the submission page!

I had given up on entering this one...and then go figure, I get an idea (I think and hope is a decent one ;-P ) on my way home at 10:45 EDT. Freaked out Sheila and Tucker Rose as I burst in shouting to grab me stuff and everything. hehehe I had about 50 mins. to set up, shoot, really quick edit and get online and submit.

Whew...I'm still coming down off the rush. I like the idea, wish I had a lot more time to execute it.

I will have my lowest scoring photo ever for the words challenge. I am very pleased with myself. This is exactly the way I wanted to come back after my hiatus. I can only go up from here.

I was at 7 after 3 votes (first time I have seen that!) and now I am on 5.4!

This is my first challenge as a member so I can now use the dreaded update button. It's horrible! I went from 7 to 2.8 within 30 minutes! I'm back up to 3.75 now, but I'd rather have the 7 back :-)

How am I ever supposed to get any work done now? :P

I'm amazed... I'm scoring incredibly low in Words. I wasn't expecting a ribbon or anything, but wow. I'm barely holding on to a 4.5 despite the fact that I already have a comment and it's positive. So much for the brief string of decent scores. I guess my frequently changing style doesn't always appeal to DPCers ;) I actually thought this was a good one, too - better, IMO, than some of my best scorers. I guess I'll see where the score goes, but, judging by this, I'll be lucky to stay over 4.

Oops... under 4.5 now. Sheesh.

sounds like alot of you are doing better than me..I'm a little shocked myself..thinking I finally made a challenge. No comments though. I try to make at least 30 or more comments in a challenge. Anyway this is my stats right now....hoping by tomorrow afternoon, it will rise a little.

EDIT: By the way..what are ya all looking for in the "words" challenge? does it have to be amazing or something? I mean come on now..it's "WORDS". I haven't really seen anything extremely humorus (at least in my opinion)...so I wonder what everybody is looking for? I am also wondering if people are voting low becuz they think their picture is best and they want the high votes. But if everybody votes low..then who is really getting "high" per say???

I agree there are plenty of great shots.

I haven't voted but I would give high marks to pictures where words make the photo more interesting. The words being present in it have to be significant that it would adversely affect the photo had the words been taken out. If the photo is still complete without the words then they're not playing a creative role in the composition.

I totally agree with you bruchen.

Thanks xion.... there'll be hundred more different opinions, mine's just one of them.

I gave it a miss this time, after my 'advertisment' picture succesfully got me above the top 100 for the first time I thought i'de better not push my luck... good decision I think some of the shots are wonderfull, also there are a lot that do not meet the challenge too, it clearly states "Take a photograph where complete words -- not just individual letters -- play a creative role in your composition". most do but some do not, I'm glad I sat out on this one it will be a high score winner. Good luck everyone

I totally missed my chance for this challenge. At a friend's wedding he stood up to "say a few words" and I didn't get the camera ready in time :/

I started of with an average vote of 10.0000 (after 1 vote) but now sitting at 5.8ish after 60someodd votes, 11 comments and 1 favourite. I didn't expect to be doing so well :)
