I love it. Took a chance on this entry to see if folks are really looking at the photos. Hard to judge a photo from a thumbnail. There are certainly many great photos and I'll have to sit down in a bit to look more closely before voting.

Your score is in the top left hand side of the screen on the main page. It will update every hour. If you become a member then you will have an update button and can do it any time.

Don't get disheartened if it's not what you expected. The standard's quite high here on DPC and if it's low, with persistence and time here it'll go up! :)

| This is my first challenge, so far i'm around 80 votes with about a 4.7 - I'm ecstatic with this for my first challenge, i wasn't sure how I'd fair. No comments tho, wish i had some feedback to learn from, but all in time, thanks to everyone. |

There are some real stand-outs in this challenge, and I've pretty much tagged those who will win a ribbon, but I'm a little dissapointed with quite a few which don'nt seem to meet the challenge. If your eye roams around searching for something to focus on then it's a DNMC to me, allthough I'm not voting anyway, just commenting. |

I dont vote...oh no...but I am new...ish, to this photography site. I am not an experienced photographer, I just like to take photos.
I am very unsure as to what all the terms mean when it is stipulated "FOCAL POINT" and various other challenges that I have entered.
My first entry came in around average for the challenge and I think that my scores remain that way. Those who are new, stick with it, I have read alot of comments on the forums and have noticed that there is a diverse lot of people that you/we are trying to please.
I enter my pictures and hope for the best, sometimes I get lucky and "the voters" see what I see!
For this perticular challenge I feel happy with my shot but I dont think others have seen it in quite the same way!
Listen to  vawendy, She has commented on my pics and although I havent directly thanked her, she does make some useful comments!

I'm guessing the overall lack of comments is due to folks not wanting to take a chance to piss off the entrants with their personal interpretation of "focal point."

| I've voted on half of the entries so far and am leaving comments for each one. If you don't have a comment yet be patient it takes a while to comment on 144 photos :) Some of the comments I do mention my inability to see a focal point but that has only been on a few. I've been fairly open minded about the interpretation of focal point as this seemed to be a rather open challenge. |
