I have built a keyword suggestion tool and thought I would share it.

Thank you for all of the emails. This morning I released Version 2.

The new version contains:
- the ability to exclude keywords
- the ability to search by 'newest' and 'popular'
- a tag cloud based on the photographer (click 'Authors') at the top after running a search

V2.1 just released following more feedback.

It's now very easy to create a cloud of keywords for addition to your pictures by clicking on the 'export' button.
I have also created an easier link to remember: //www.mykeyworder.com

Please do keep the feedback coming.

v2.2 released last night.

The new version includes a re-vamped 'export' capability that allows you to personalize the selection of keywords.

Unlike other keywording tools out there, ShutterChance fully analyses all of the keywords of all of the image results (rather than just a few) so there are considerably more keywords returned to choose from.

v3 released last night.

The latest version includes a new Portfolio Optimizer tool for Shutterstock contributors. By entering your ID, the tool will screen your entire portfolio to identify images that have not been tagged with enough keywords. You can then jump directly to the Shutterstock edit page to add more keywords (with the assistance of ShutterChance).

v4 just released.

Following a visitor suggestion, this version adds Flickr into the mix. Now you can run a single search across both Shutterstock and Flickr simultaneously (or just Shutterstock) in order to find keywords.

Thanks for keeping us posted. I'll have to check this out when I have more time.

Sorry, I'm one of those rare manual-reader types, and I need more specific instructions on how to use this.

I'm mostly interested in generating keywords for new pictures to upload, though I have about 200 images at Shutterstock I could possibly update if it's *really* easy.

Removing post as it now contains out-of-date information.

Sounds great, but it currently works only for Shutterstock, right? Can you make it more universal so it can be used with sites like Alamy?

The keywords generated come from Shutterstock and Flickr, but you can use the resulting keywords with whatever site you like.

Great aid. I just joined Alamy and this is very helpful in preparing the keywords for my images. Thanks!

Thanks to the many donations to MyKeyworder.com over the past years, over the weekend, I was finally able to release what these contributions made possible: the launch of the first plugin for Adobe Photoshop Lightroom that enables photographers to keyword their images from within Lightroom for a better workflow and huge time savings.

You can find more details about the plugin here:

Happy Keywording!
