My Acme Film Swap Kit arrived this past week from Orange, California. We have some sun today, so I might see what damage I can do to the enclosed, half-exposed paper negatives.

Anyone else have a progress report?

Finishing up roll 2 to send on, should mail it Tuesday/Wednesday.

I received a roll from Kevin, ready to fire up my 1940 Detrol toyish camera.

@Brian, remember Holga must come back with some sort of Brian McGyver modifications! Maybe a digital scanning back?

More to come!

Open letter to Tom tph1:
Your film awaits me at home, and so now does my new Bronica SQ. I am in the Mekong Delta of Vietnam at the moment; wish I had both your film & my Bronica here! Alas you will have to settle for something less exotic in a few days.
cheers,
Paul

Lots more to come.

Our first roll was a bit off spacing wise, and our second one will likely be as well, but that's okay. We got some fun ones. I thought it would be fun for us to both edit as/if we wanted, so here are my faves from the first one.

My Vecta has returned from JamesA (Thanks James). I'll try to get this roll exposed at the weekend.

Good to hear it, Kevin. I think we're waiting on some others too ( ubique?). I'll be shooting some Lucky film on Ben's Holga and sending it back to him soon...

Film-swap between myself & tph1

Film: Rollei Retro 80S
Dev 5 Mins FD-10

My half of the photographs are from a trip to Snowdonia last weekend.
Just quick edits, so if you want any at higher res PM me Tom.

My most successful film-swap yet; despite the fact I opened the back of the camera thinking the film had been fully wound back ruining several frames.

Camera-swap between myself & JamesA Part 2

Camera: Kodak Brownie Vecta
Film: Efka R100
Dev 14 Mins Adox APH-09

We've not had much luck with this swap. First time round the shutter wasn't working reliably, this time I think I managed to fold the film when re-spooling it for my turn.

As I'm not a paid-up member these are not hosted on dpchallenge:

Then we get to the folded area:

Which were overlaid when I took my image so should look something like this:

jomari & tph1 film swap

Exposures were very good! And somehow the frames matched up exactly. Thanks Marion!

OK. So time to post some serious stuff. ;)

This is from the first roll of Lucky 100 BW that Brian obtained on E-bay, and I have a few more to scan/process. BTW, I did not manually re-spool the film. I just shot it as is, and I believe that's why the paper backing came through. I'm going to re-spool the next roll for tomorrow's outing. We have two more rolls to share.

Alexlky Shoot a roll or two and send it my way.

Well, I think Kris is still shooting our second roll, so, in the meantime, I figured I'd start another one. Started that, and then let my girlfriend shoot the second time in the same camera body. Frames lined up ALMOST perfectly for most, and I'm pretty happy with the results from this one.

Nice series, Derek. I think that's a good idea to have someone close shoot the second lot of images. Cutting out the expense of postage would make sense to me. I'll have to see if I can get my brother to participate.
