I picked up my film today

That's where you are lucky. There are only 3 small camera stores in the town I live in and nobody sells film. So, I have to buy it online and that takes time. But, my film should arrive on Monday (of course, after the weekend when I would have time to shoot!)

It took me all week to get there. Only two shops that sell film. Do you still need a partner?

I will pair up with JamesA to start with, but open to a second partnership too.

Fired up my Pentax ME Super SE last night and made sure everything still works, and my box of various films to try out arrived in the mail today, so I'm a go.
Still looking for a partner that would help me a bit with the whole double exposure aspect, if anybody is interested.

Sarah/Derek, I can join either or both of you as long as time and patience permits! I'm working on a roll for Steve.

Derek I will use a Canon A1, essentially the same era as your Pentax. Go ahead and start a roll earmarked for my A1.

I have finished my roll of 120 pinhole and Tom Hart tph1 and I will mail our swap films in the next day or so. Then we rest in the hands of the world's postal services. Don't touch that dial.

I pass on this riveting information in order to effect an insincerely-disguised bump.

Well I've loaded my Kodak Brownie Vecta with a roll of Efke R100 black and white film. 3 frames of the 8 available taken so far, but I'm not convinced the shutter worked on the first 2.

I'll be re-spooling the film in it and posting the camera to JamesA, and he can decide if he wants to develop and scan it or send it back to me. James, I'll be including a second 127 sized film if you feel you want to have a go.

I'm still open to other partners.

Kevin

Thanks for the needed bump, Paul.

Ben, I appreciate that your becoming our Film Swap Hero, but I hope some of you needing partners will look at the original post and reach out, send a PM, whatever.

Should be fun!

Ok, if you'll have me, I'd love to try this! I only have 35mm cameras though.
I've an old Pentax Spotmatic and a Spotmatic II of which both have good batteries and are manual rewind!!! :P Guess that would make me a P1? I actually don't have a preference or a scanner, lol. (Used to love the "in view finder light meter" and would love to play again.)

Let me know if someone needs a partner. This actually sounds like loads of fun and the photographs should be very interesting!

Getting closer... sent a couple of rolls to ubique today. Received a roll of color 35mm from JamesA today too. Its been difficult for me to think about the best shots, or half-an-image, for this side challenge. Maybe I just need to fire off some shots and let chance take over completely.

Pretty fast, eh? Yes, it's yours. You included your business card. That's four day delivery from the UK to rural Ashland Ohio. Wow!
I think ubique sent his by pony express.. :-)

Can't wait to see what you guys come up with. I'll be sending Brian a Holga and some paper negatives on Wed. I very well could be just donating money to the USPS.

I haven't got a partner yet so I wouldn't mind. I do have a scanner so I guess I could go #2. Only thing is distance and postage costs, so think about it.

Our first roll had some hiccups. First, while ubique shot with a pinhole I shot with a Bronica SQ aI. The problem I should have foreseen is this: the pinhole winds the film horizontally through the camera, while the Bronica winds the film vertically. Thus our images are at right angles to each other. We also appear to have had some film spacing issues. So... without ubique's permission I took the liberty of taking this collaboration outside the bounds of a traditional film swap, and layered one of my images that had no overlap onto one of his. "Cheating" I guess you could say. But it documents our effort, and I get to incorporate the rather ubiquitous chapeau.

Very impressive, nice of him to share the details. We have a few disposables lying around...

Tom's too kind. Yes we had a 90° orientation problem, but also somehow my pinhole camera was 'rewinding' a bit between exposures & I didn't notice, so I put 8 or 9 shots into the first five frame spaces! Lots of random overlap of my exposures, in other words, making them largely useless. I think I have resolved the problem, and of course the 90° orientation fix is easy (I lie down sideways to shoot), so our second roll – which Tom shot as first shooter – should be more useable.
