Are you accepting applications from registered users? I completely understand if not, but if you are then I'd like to give it a go.

I've no preference for order and can do 35mm 120 and 127.

"I don't have a film camera."

For those of you who don't have film cameras (and those who do)...

There's no reason this can't be a camera swap. Partner One does most of the work -- shoots the first images, rewinds then reloads the same camera, and sends it to Partner Two, for whom it's ready to go. Partner Two can then return the camera and film (or process the film and post images). Point-and-shoot and toy film cameras are cheap if you look in the right places (I don't expect Leica and Hasselblad owners to be up for this with their cameras).

So no more excuses! Chime in if this interests you (as either someone with no camera, or someone willing to loan or give one away).

"I'm only a Registered User."

paynekj - Yes! This is the side challenge for Registered Users, who can partner up with Members who can upload the images.

So welcome aboard Kevin and Derek and hopefully t.

This sounds interesting, but I can think of a few problems for me, if I were to participate. I'm pretty sure my Nikon F60 automatically rewinds (been a while since I used it). I live in Australia and it might take longer to exchange. Your Spring is my Autumn if that fact matters at all.

"Film Swap Fall" works too. In fact, I can see some interest in overlapping your fall with the spring of a Northern Hemisphere partner.

As far as auto rewinding cameras go, you would need to be the second partner.

I'm in, 120 pinhole camera. I'd like to partner with tph1 with 120 film, 6x6 format, OK Tom?

Thanks for having me!

I can get 127 B&W film (Efke and Rollei Retro) from a couple of places here in the UK and it's possible to cut down 120 or re-spool 35mm onto a 127 reel with old backing paper (neither of which I've actually tried yet)

Interesting. Would you mind sending me a link via PM?

I could also go in as a partner 1. I found, to my amazement, that my old Fujica ST 801 still has a live battery in it. (Don't know how long ago since I used that one, but it's years.) This camera has manual rewind. It is a 35mm SLR.

Anybody know if it's possible to mount a Nikon lens to a Pentax SLR mount? I'm thinking the body would be 80's era... can't give model as I'm at work. I perused adapters at B&H/Adorama and didn't see any Nikon to Pentax... it was about the only combination I didn't see.

It may be cheaper to buy a Pentax lens that fits it on eBay.

I have this adaptor for my Nikon mount Zeiss for a Cannon body. Works like a charm.

I've got a couple lenses for it, they'll work fine. But it would be AWESOME if I could use my Nikons... lots newer/better/faster. Besides, if I enjoy this thoroughly, it is a good way to look at continuing it. I do know there are always TONS of Nikon SLR's for sale on Craigslist around here... quality bodies in good condition, but but looking for minimal startup.

Im not brave enough to attempt this myself, but I think this is a really cool idea. Setting this thread to 'Watch' with great anticipation of what you all come up with.

It's easier than you might think, Brad. I hope you'll reconsider. We appreciate spectators all the same.

Several folks on our list are still available to play. Reach out... !

I'm loading one of my old film Nikons tomorrow, so in a couple of days I will know if it's working right. It feels cool to hold it again, sort of like driving my '65 Ford Falcon.

This is such a wonderful idea! Unfortunately I'm not brave enough either, though I do have a Nikon F80.. maybe next season? :p

Can't wait to see all your results!

Let me visit a Goodwill or Value Village store, and see what I can find by way of film cameras. I have never really learned film, so my biggest fear would probably be learning how to wind it into the camera without screwing it up.

I will let you know.

I picked up my film today. Anybody start yet?

That's where you are lucky. There are only 3 small camera stores in the town I live in and nobody sells film. So, I have to buy it online and that takes time. But, my film should arrive on Monday (of course, after the weekend when I would have time to shoot!)
