a few hours before the limit for the Purple Challenge. I pulled my own submission. Looking at what was submitted, I did the right thing. alot of good quality shot there.

Almost no post-processing, was done with lighting. I don't think it would have voted much on it. Just thought I'd share now.

It looks like a solid five or maybe six to me. It would have been a nice change to the tonnes of flowers and fireworks entered. Don't get me wrong, I did really like a couple of the flower and fireworks shots. There were just too many. I found myself voting higher for originality this challenge.

This is pretty nice. I probably would have given it a 6.

I like your shot, BruB. I would have given it a 7.
I understand you pulling it, though. I'm becoming disillusioned with the whole concept at the moment. So many subjects are unacceptable regardless of how well they're photographed. It seems that the overall scores given are so much lower than they should be. The voters seem to be on a 1 to 5 scale instead of a 1 to 10. Sometimes, I wish that the photos could be judged by a panel of former winners or non-affiliated judges. Or...maybe if I had about 20 friends or familay members vote my photo high....hhhmmmm...I don't think I'm having fun anymore.

Good thinking, Bru. Your shot was too good to be misjudged by the voters.
