I'll try a different theme this year, but I don't know what yet. I'll let you know in a couple of days.

My theme will be "Seasonal"...that should be vague enough to let me get 52 shots this year :)

Add me in please. I'm just going to attempt this in freestyle mode and hope it lights a fire under me.

I've been looking for something to get me more involved in this site again, and this side challenge looks like it could be fun. Please sign me up, and I'll give my theme more thought over the coming days.

I have started a 52 week project. No theme just whatever catches my eye. Is that OK?
01/03/2011 05:38:15 PM · #56
Please add me to the list.

Theme will be "Scenes From The Commute"

As I am new to this I have what is probably a stupid question. How do I add my photo to the thread? I do not have a portfolio on DPC and want to just add the link to the photo on Flickr is that possible? As I already have a portfolio on Flickr I would rather not start another one.

To participate in Free Studies you must be a member of the site and not just a registered user. Then you will have a portfolio here. So without membership you can't be in this side challenge as you will have no entry into the Free Study. Sorry....

expatdawn you can just post a link to your flickr images in the thread.
kleski I think you got the threads muddled up, this is not the FSM sign up thread.

I'll try this again! I've gone digital, so I'm hoping I won't get majorly behind. Speaking of getting behind, here is a link to the rest of last years PAW. I didn't realize I uploaded but didn't post since week 14:( I fell asleep a lot in front of the computer last year. That may or may not change :)

I was lousy last year -- I posted very few things.

I'll try to do better this year.

Please sign me up for "slice of life -- family moments". Since starting here, I don't take nearly as many slice of life photos, since I notice the background sucks, or the lighting sucks, I've stopped taking pictures of life with my family. So this will end up being a snapshot challenge for me, but it's more important than all the setup shots I do.

And here I thought you were a seagull, Wendy.

I would like to jump in if it's not too late.

"bspurgeon - body cap pinhole prints" - I was thinking of doing this
"VitaminB - develop my style" - I was also thinking of doing this

Considering the two are not one and the same for me, I need something, and all I can think of at the moment is Macro. I've never ever done one, but am picking up a lens Sunday and this will get me to work more on lighting as well (something else I cannot do).

Edit: I would, however, like to reserve the right to post up a sweet pinhole shot if I'm lucky enough to get one.

If you'll have me, of course.

Ben, I may join you with the pinhole. I got a pinhole for Christmas so I'm geared up now ;)

I have done a PAW for the last couple of years, but dropped off towards the end of the year due to time contraint.

So yep, throw me down for pinhole.

I'd like to try as well. Not 100% on topic, but generally nature orientated. Thanks

Ben, can I join? I can't think of a topic right now... except maybe trying something new and developing a style in the next 52 weeks.

I'd like to try. Hopefully I can manage to get one shot a week. I'd like to do pinholes since I have my new body cap pinhole ready to go. thanks.

We would like to try this if it not too late to join.

We need to get out more and take our cameras with us.

My husband jessie and myself.

Our theme could be "seasons" for jessie and "anything outside" for me.

Failed to finish this last year, will try this time around. I'll go with cameraphone snapshots since my phone is always attached to me anyway. =)

I'll update the image thread tonight. I'll likely have this thread locked tomorrow.

Maria, glad to see you will posting pinholes as well!
