Can't say that'll be a problem with current temps dropping down to low 20's.

I am trying to upload a photo for this challenge, but it's telling me that the image exceeds 300kb! I have gone through all the exact same steps to reduce this to submission size that I have for all my other photos (as described here on DPC) and even when the "extended image information" tells me that my image is 799X736 pixels and 297kb I get the same "exceeds the 300kb" warning. What is going on?

| now i'm not so sure....re-reading the rules it says no one side may be longer than 800 and not less than 160 px. I seem to remember a 600 limitation for one dimension but i don't see it. anyone else? |

| I have encountered a similar problem. Even after resizing and reducing the quality to just under 300 KB, when I upload it reads a different size. It might be a glitch with the site, or it might have something to do with the memory cache. Regardless, delete the previous file, then try saving it to 285 KB and see what the site reads it as when you upload. |

No, that's the maximum size on any one side. You can enter an 800x800 square crop, as hajeka did. |
