I LOVE getting comments from tanguera! She's very insightful, kind, and prolific with her words. So post your favorite comment from Johanna, and the picture which generated it:

"They look like they're coming back from a journey to the Great Beyond. Bearing gifts. Terrific motion blur."

How cool is that? :-) Thanks, Johanna!

Ha! I may post more than one. Most recent, and one of my favorites. Notice how she describes Deb.

Hmmmm. This looks a lot like Union Station, and if it's US, then this looks a lot like a melethia creation. Great street capture. The tilt adds an element of voyeurism.

Heh! And she thought I was Judy:

"So many great details in this image - the angle, the reflection in the bottom square, the position of the cable. And the pp'ing - it looks like a jutilda with a Droid and lomo app :-)"

She IS a lovely commenter, isn't she? My most recent from her was succinct and expressed things rather well, I thought:

"A visual sigh."

She does make good (and often entertaining) comments. One of my favourites:

"I get very emotional looking at it, and I can't explain why. It's as though someone is being blown away, piece by piece, and they are reaching out to touch what is left of the world for them. It is tragic and beautiful."

"Aw geez!!! What is it with people and spiders!!!!!! Totally freaked me out. How can you stand getting so close???? Amazing. Creepy, but amazing..."

The others I've received from her have always been super nice and encouraging, but this one made me legitimately laugh out loud.

Oh wow, what a great idea, I often tell tanguera how much her comments mean to me, so thanks for starting this. I think she comments more on my photos than anyone else, this is the best comment......

Just received this one in my Grog thread:
"Grog need neandershrink, stat."

Grog is pleased to be appreciated, but Grog's greatness does not shrink.

Comment by tanguera:
this is such a great shot, Ken. I love that the road stretches out behind him and then disappears. The driveways branching off into unknown other lives makes this rich with innuendo, and the dark framing of the trees, super.

Johanna rawks. "neandershrink" LOL

Oh My Dog Melethia, thank you for bringing to my attention just how many comments I've received from tanguera! Each one is either insightful, helpful, critical or fun, but the most appreciated (very hard to pick) was for this shot

"I think that if there ever were wormholes, our first glimpses through them would look like this. I feel like I am traveling back in time when I look at this picture, and memories and emotions rush back at me."

I think she's commented on most of my latest entries, really, a huge thank you, (I don't have favorites, as I really do love them all....)

And Johnathan Livingston Duck observed the rest of his brethren zigged and zagged about, oblivious to the majesty of the setting sun. He did not notice Jacqueline Livingston Duck observing him.

"AAachh!!! Oh, my heart. This sort of image just makes my soul sing. Heavenly and wonderful. I was thinking what a pity you couldn't clone out the lines, and then I though, a good thing you didn't. They somehow tie all the pieces together. And the sharp clean angles of the doors are like the reality, behind which someone is having a dream of a flying bird. Have just started looking, but this is the first one I clicked on. Good luck!!"

Not on my own image, but look at this:
"I feel as though I have just witnessed this in person, and the image has become a memory, fading away but bright with emotion. Love it."
as a tanguera comment on this:

I can only imagine the photographer's delight at such a comment.

"LOL! I was so mesmerized by the lens flares that I almost missed the moon!"

Not many comments from tanguera yet, but I love the few I've had... like this one. Gives me a perspective of my own photos that I haven't thought of.

Marvelous. I love how there is just a hint of logic, embedded in a sea of chaos.

This made me laugh. I enjoyed the comment.

"Truly portentous...Louis, you have the most astonishing eye."

Unfortunately, I'm not a member any more and can't post the image.

Also a tanguera fan here.

'There is something very terrifying about it to me, as though he's being sucked up by the dark forces he's conjured with his own missteps. It has stayed with me long after first viewing it. '

Which is precisely the sort of response i was after with the image so i was very happy.
