I believe it is probably December 1st somewhere in the world. What say we get started? Let's all just have a good time and enjoy the photos. Comment are welcome and encouraged. Here is my first offering....

I had considered this for the Oct. Freestudy, but went with something else instead.

Alrighty, I'll take your crisp, saturated renderings and oppose them with a liberal decanting of abstract and simplify...

ETA: I figure since this is a Topaz challenge... maybe I could ask you guys a question here too... I tried using Topaz Denoise (which I use all the time and have never had an issue with) on this image, but it seemingly didn't do ANYTHING to the noise. Original and Denoise'd looked identical on the moderate preset. If I turned it up to high, then the image turned into a uniform green swatch. I didn't really mess with it much because I have other noise software that I think works well, so I just used that (Dfine 2.0) and it handled it no problem. Any ideas?

Forgive my intrusion, but despite the fact I cannot currently use Topaz I'm interested in this to see if I want to make changes to my setup (possibly going PC for editing).

These are all great, and some are easily recognizable as Topaz, but others have me scratching my head as to what exactly Topaz was used to do. Mr. Spatula had a great description, but in others ( for example), I don't really know what Topaz has brought to the photo.

For the inexperienced but interested, could you very briefly explain (other than experimentation in some cases) what you accomplished with the use of Topaz that otherwise wouldn't have happened?

Spicify and then some additional tweaking of the detail slider buttons.

I have upload the original, like that you can compare them. I had no previous experience with Topaz so I'm just playing around, sorry I can't help you much.
I have put the details of the editing in the description.

I would call that a light tonemapping with detail enhancement.. I assume you used Topaz Adjust Mambe?
