I'm keen. I never participated in the last side challenge but i did view some of the great stuff there and tried some of the technique for my abstracts for Photo a Week.

Count me in!

Oooo yeah I'm in! Flipping'n'blending is going in some interesting new directions. I am eager to see what everyone is doing. Once you start, it never stops, it's so much fun. Thanks for the thread cpanaioti!

I'll have another fling at it myself; it's a fun thing to be doing when the weather gets bleak & nasty.

I didn't get very far with this last time, but I'd love to try again.

My November Guest

My Sorrow, when she's here with me,
Thinks these dark days of autumn rain
Are beautiful as days can be;
She loves the bare, the withered tree;
She walks the sodden pasture lane.

Her pleasure will not let me stay.
She talks and I am fain to list:
She's glad the birds are gone away,
She's glad her simple worsted grey
Is silver now with clinging mist.

The desolate, deserted trees,
The faded earth, the heavy sky,
The beauties she so truly sees,
She thinks I have no eye for these,
And vexes me for reason why.

Not yesterday I learned to know
The love of bare November days
Before the coming of the snow,
But it were vain to tell her so,
And they are better for her praise.

I think I did about forty of these the last time -- I even submitted a bunch as stock images (as backgrounds/textures). I still find myself looking at photos I take (and also at NASA space pictures) and trying to judge how they'd respond to this treatment.

Actually, I made the last post in the previous thread in early April, only about six months ago ... I was hardly aware the previous SC had ended. ;-)

Are there so few interested this time around? ;o)

I've averaged two photo outings a month for the past two and a half months. I just don't have the time to shoot anymore. Makes me sad, actually. :-(

But I'll keep an eye on what you all come up with! I would especially appreciate comments on what you did to get the asymetrical stuff I'm seeing from time to time. Thanks!

I would SO love to participate but I signed up for a sc last month and never made it in. Swamped, but with you in spirit!

Can someone explain this?

If the spirit moves you to try one during the month you're welcome to post it.

Thanks. Now that makes perfect sense. The images posted in this thread so far hadn't been symmetrical, so I was trying to figure it out. Funny, though, that a google search only turns up this thread and the last one.
