This years Nikon Smallworld challenge winners are going to be presented on NBC's Today Show. Smallworld is a challenge for photography through the microscope with a long tradition. I'm proud to receive an Image of distinction award this year: //www.nikonsmallworld.com/gallery/year/2010/69

Thank you! Microscopy photography is a very interesting field. I just set-up a Canon 1000D to use as a microscope camera, but have to find time to actually photograph with it. Microscope dedicated cameras are something completely different - low resolution but also much lower noise and higher sensitivity. But their output is not meant for larger prints, therefore I'll try with a regular SLR camera...

ETA: here are some of my micrographs, taken with a microscope camera: //web.bf.uni-lj.si/bi/mikroskopija/galerija.php?tag=&mic=&auth=ak
