My last couple entries have sucked - big time! One I knew was gonna be bad and shoulda took it down before voting started but I stubbornly plunged ahead.
The next one (currently in voting) I didn't think it was real good but didn't realize it was that bad till voting started and the more I look at it the worse it is.
I'm looking forward to the voting to begin on "from the knees down". I don't expect it to ribbon, I don't expect to be in the top 10 or 20. But a 5 or better would be nice! Probably just jinxed myself! But I like this photo alright - unlike the other two - so it's good.

Who else is looking forward to "from the knees down"?

I am even though I am predicting a low to mid 4. It isn't a mainstream, wide appeal, DPC friendly shot but it is one of may favorites in quite awhile.

I have an idea. It will probably be done and better than what is in my head. Nevertheless, I may still do it. I just need to get a jar of peanut butter and a squeegee...and...

I've said too much already

:)

I'm hopeful on the knees down, but so far the average scores are so low, I have to readjust my mental targets.
Only been on DP a few weeks, so its all very new for me. I had expected winning photos to score 8+ not under a 6.
Seems breaking 5 is good, and if you break a 6 your in the running, and a 7+ is very rare.

OOoohhhh peanut butter!!!
I get it! Do I still have time to reshoot?!?!?

That's what happens when you average together the opinions of so many people. Even the lowest scoring entries have some people that think they are wonderful and the highest rated always get a few that think they suck. Welcome to the wonderful world of mass opinion!

I've got one in for this challenge that I think will either do well, or perform mid-pack with strong appeal for a handful of folks.

Mine will not fare well, I don't think, but I'm rather taken with it. We'll see how it goes. At least I entered a challenge for this month!

i wanted to enter this challenge but for some reason, the bridge near my place of work seemed nice for a capture. so i took a photo of it, edited it in basic, and submitted. next day, i was looking at my photo and realized it was a bit grainy. edited again, then re-upload. next day again, i was looking at the photo again, then i realized the white balance is off. edited again, re-upload. now with barely two hours left, im looking at that photo of the bridge again, and im realizing i may have boosted the saturation a little more than necessary. tsk... now im sitting at the office and i just noticed how good looking my shoes are :)

I loved the idea of this one it was more challanging than from the neck down, which when I saw the title of this challange I thought would be better, but the bigger the challange...

i'm gonna get 42 comments of dnmc, and a score of 3.8

but it DOES meet the challenge -- at least in my mind. :P
