I would like to propose this challenge as a means of the DPC community offering our support to Judi.

On the way to the horses this morning Damion had the radio on and this song came up. the words say how i feel at the moment. i found it on youtube when i got home and the colours and funny clothes mad me happy. i wondered if someone can suggest this for a challenge to make everyone feel happy with the world around them.

Sunshine after the rain

"I wanna see the sunshine after the rain,

I wanna see bluebirds flying over the mountains again.

Oh where is the silver linings

Shining after the rainbow's end?"

A challenge of photos filled with happiness and hope for the future.

Drat!! I don't have any bluebirds this year.

But since we're in another heat wave, I have plenty of sunshine! Bring it on!!

Let's do it!

As a side challenge, we could just continue on with it while Judi heals.
That way it will not be a two weeks then gone thing, plus, people could put in more than one photo to share and not worry about scoring or voting.
Another option would be to do both, a formal challenge, and start the side challenge after the formal one ends.

I like that idea!

I think the song lyrics would make for a good challenge - open to lots of different interpretations from bright, happy, colourful, cheerful representations of the emotions elicited, to more literal interpretations of the four lines of lyrics. Would make it both fun to shoot for and to vote on.

That's a really good idea, Sara.

There are many of us dealing with life issues, and I think it will help everyone focus on what is important - being happy. Plus it will be an awesome support for our community member Judi.

it says its by a group called men without hats. some people had a go at me for not wearing a hat. but if i had wore a hat, the hat edge would have got caught on the rail and snapped my neck forward and cause more damage. i am lucky i wasnt wearing a hat cause the rail hit me across the bottom of the skull.

Now that song is stuck in my head! I'm going outside to bang my head on the rail...

For you Judi,
For Judi

We cant help the rain, its like all things that are out of our control. However we can find that yes, we can sing and dance in the rain.

If the title of the song is a news flash, then it's wonderful news!
