Here's the story. My parents are now using my old Canon Rebel XTi. They used to have an old Pentax film camera of some sort, and apparently they have a 300mm Macro Pentax K-Mount lens that they would like to be able to use on the XTi if possible. It's fine if it only works in full manual. He's getting conflicting reports from various sources on whether an adapter to accomplish this task even exists. Anybody out there have any insight on this situation? Thanks a bunch in advance!

I have found some info on the ol' interwebs. It looks like such an adapter exists, but only works with EF-S cameras without modifying the lens (which is fine with me). I could still use some confirmation if anyone has any.

Hi

I bought an adapter from Adorama to use my pentax equipment on my Canon xti. It makes all the auto features invalid because the adapter flange covers the contacts. To get the correct exposure, take a shot and then look at the histogram to adjust the f-stop and/or time

Awesome! Any chance you have a link and/or pics of the adapter to make sure we get the right thing?
