Produce images using found or fabricated filters - not commercially produced ones. Things like cellophane, warped glass, plastic, vaseline on glass ,prisms etc. etc. Lenses are OK so long as they do not match your camera. Use your inventiveness or just try stuff out. No rules, just have fun.

This was my challenge entry for Shallow depth of field. I've added it to this thread because I shot it through a magnifying glass. (The reason for b&w was colour abberations.)

What about beer? Beer does a good filter job on my vision. Especially way back in the day before I got married.

Good idea. I can see if it works better on the camera or on the photographer.

Come and play! It's not serious and you can just stick anything more or less transparent in front of your lens. I know you have that Olympus, and that's what I'm using mostly because the little lens sees more easily through some small bits and pieces.

This is such an interesting topic! I won't have time to participate, but will watch with great interest what kind of "tools" you'll all be using! If I have chance, I might throw in the occasional picture later on ...

I might very well never get the time to participate this month, but in the spirit of throwing an idea out there for everyone, here's one I did a few months back that I think fits the spirit of the side challenge:

Thanks Karen. I love this image and it's the sort of thing that made me want to do this side challenge.

Shot through a large Mexican glass tumbler which is slightly wet because I had to rinse it, and then thought it might be more interesting wet. Which is why it is sitting on a plate. One of a few experimental shots this morning.
