"I am stupid because I accidentally deleted the original for this entry."

I'm stoopid because back in 2005 I didn't realise you couldn't use a vignette in Basic....I soon learnt.

I'm stupid because I took a few days off from DPC when I had an entry that was totally rocking the high 4's and someone requested validation while I was away because it totally looks like I shopped the sunglasses on that duck.

my 5th or 6th entry in dpc and clearly didn't read the rule stating "You may not use ANY editing tool to create new image area, objects or features"

ironically to this day would likely have been a pb with the way the voting was trending...

I was stuuupid because I KNEW I could use dodge and burn in Advanced, but, alas, must not use d&b to make scary eyes.

I've been DQ'd twice.

Well, I'm not stupid, but I think I started the whole "radial blur isn't allowed" incident (this was eons ago).

And, this one because I never set my camera date after I bought it! (Now, that might fall into the stupid category).

This would have been my second ribbon, the first since I'd bought the dSLR and moved up from the P&S. The store had set the time/date for me, and missed by 12 hours. Which was enough to DQ me, because this shot was made 6 hrs after the challenge was announced, at dawn. So it showed as 6 PM the night before, not 6 AM the day of...

Another date/time blunder

At the time I thought something was borked with my camera. Later I realized that I messed up the year when I was checking (not even setting) the date/time. The date is on one line and time is on the next. So I pressed down to go to the next line. All that did was change the year but at the time I didn't realize it. Brilliant.

I'm stupid, because I'm not too bright.

And, oh yeah, my first entry was DQ'ed because after I cropped, the software left a 1 pixel wide black line down one side. In those days, borders were not allowed. Can't show it, because they simply deleted DQ'ed images back then. I've long forgotten what the image was, and I am several computers and hard drives down the road since then, so I can't show you either. But someone here had/has eagle eyes because I really had to look for that line after they told me.

Since then, I are been smart and not done anything to be obvious enough to get a DQ. The other half of my secret plan is to not score high enough, or be a threat to anothers score, so there are no requests for validation.

Pfft...amateurs. You can't claim REAL stupidity until you're DQ'd for a rule that you helped write!

Bonus points for stupidity if your thumbnail doesn't work. ;-P

Consider yourself DQ'd from the stupid DQ thread then.

Because I tried to thumbnail the wrong entry (a self-DQ). What good is stupidity if you can't show it off?

I just downloaded Picasa 3 so I can tag my photos, but I'm wary of doing anything that is going to alter the original files. If I run the "find photos" feature in Picasa, it won't add any data to photos, will it?
