Post your outtakes from the Double Take III challenge here.

this is the image I originally planned to submit

but then decided that it was not quite meeting the challenge since it was about mirror pairs, not real doubles, and entered this shot instead

now, my outtake got accepted to 1x, while my entry got a whopping 4.95. Talk about colossal blunders! LOL

Now, having said that, I still don't understand why my entry scored so low, after all it squarely meets the challenge, properly focused and exposed, and (what from my perspective is a huge plus) is not contrived but genuinely found. oh well...

I got 5.7 points and this was my first challenge. The second one will be far too low. I can say that votes are are too susbjective. Thank you commenters. I thought too long about cutting window fence on the right but at the and i find it balancing the composition on the right side and giving the information to us that doors are belong to a house. And yes I feel the same thing at the first sight as the comment said, one door for adults one door for kids. Thank you.

Didn't enter as I was travelling and forgot to do it before I left. This would have been my double take entry. Likely would have been a 4.something so not sad I didn't enter, but it was a totally unplanned shot during a walkabout at the NYC GtG.

If it was cropped a little less to the right, I would have given it a 6 to 7.

I didn't enter this, I thought the focus of the shot was to much on the flower & not enough on the buds. I wonder how it would had done?
