Add your own sentences to follow this...

Here are 2 from just today...

...when you don't even notice that you have wandered onto a nude beach for the extent of your visit, because you are so focused on finding the best angle for that landscape shot.
...when you purposefully wade through waist high ice cold ocean water in order to get an interesting rock formation into your shot. The fact that you have your cellphone in your pocket goes completely unnoticed.

Clearly, I had an eventful day today. But the shots were totally worth it.

Also some more conventional ones:

...when you are never without a camera
...when you have missed more than a few shots because the lens cap was still on.
etc. etc.
Add your own!

You critique images on the walls of stores.

I've done this on more than one occasion. The one was when my wife and I were registering at the Bay for our wedding. They had this picture of this happy bridal party on one of the walls. The mother looked pretty much like a prostitute. The father looked like he wished a gun was in his mouth. The groom looked like an extra in Grease wearing a bad tux. Yes, pretty harsh criticism from a guy who can barely qualify to post pictures on Flickr. :)

On a more positive side of this, I actually like looking at the images for the perfume ads in stores. They are usually exceptionally well done.

because....(this is what a colleague of mine did)....drag your wife and 5 children, under the age of 6, out at the crack of dawn to hold a piece of grass up to the sun for a silhouette....LMAO!

Your 4 yr old neices draw pictures of you with a black box in front of your eye. (and your hair in a knot with a purple scrunchie)

When you stop for a quick dinner before taking kids to the movie, find a cool vintage car made of parts in the parking lot... out comes the Canon AND owner of said car, "Gee, I get lots of people with their cell phones but this is a first"! (Pics posted tomorrow *yawn*). Then think it might be fun to take shots of kids with ice cream on their faces too ;)

...you can barely follow the storyline of a well-lit movie/tv show because you are trying to figure out how to light like that.
...you can barely follow the storyline of a poorly lit movie/tv show because you are distracted by how terrible everyone looks under such bad lighting.
...you can barely follow the storyline of movie/tv show when the screen (or screen of whoever was editing) is strangely calibrated and everyone appears orange/green/purple/etc, but all of your non-photographer friends don't notice the weird colors.
...a tourists asks you to take their picture for them and you start by spending five minutes messing with the functions on their camera, then you need to take 10 shots to get the light and the composition perfect.

....when you leave for the supermarket (2 miles away), get halfway there, realize you didn't bring your camera (and you *always* take your camera wherever you go), whip a u-turn, go home, get camera bag, go to supermarket, and it was raining the whole time!

Oh man is this true. I saw Mad Men for the first time the other night... all I was doing was thinking about lighting the whole time.
Also, just watch CSI. It's perhaps the funniest thing ever whenever a camera pops up.

You know you're a photographer when you think of your hobby by how you can best capture its essence.

When you go to take an "air" photo, and one hand wraps around the imaginary hand grip (with all fingers in the correct places) and the other hand holds up the imaginary lens.

when you are examining the lighting angles and ratios of magazine adverts, rather than looking at what the advert is even promoting!
