Good grief! Some excellent stuff.
How sad that someone has to pass before their passions and accomplishments TRULY be know.
Love looking through the book!! ~ thanks for sharing!

I had heard about his photgraphy before but never actually saw it. Thanks for sharing. Just as an aside there are a few folks out there that are great photographers but are known for something else. Roberta Bondar and Bryan Adams are a couple that come to mind. (Kiefer Sutherland is another one but I can't find his stuff darn it anyways).

eta: Paul Newman too I think? Lemme check on that one...

Viggo Mortensen is another actor who has been photographing seriously for a long time. I really like his stuff. I actually have one of his photography books out from the library at the moment, SKOVBO. If he was on DPC, of course, he would be firmly entrenched in the lower echelons and a posthumous thread favourite i'm sure.

Not all great Photographers have to first die to be discovered. How about KENNY ROGERS? He first bought a small camera to record scenes while traveling on the road for his concerts.

The 'photo bug' bit him hard. He bought a complete 4x5 Linhoff Technica 5 Outfit, built a darkroom in his home, followed by a completely outfitted photo studio to photograph his friends, fellow Professional Entertainers in the film, music and allied industries...all superstars like himself.

His photographs have brought him fame as a master of the art, gallery showings and his great photos hung in homes and museums of dignitaries the world over.

Unfortunately we don't hear about him or his photographic work anymore. Someone needs to wake up that sleeping giant and get him the renown recognition that he deserves.
