edit to add: The Damsel fly hit this little fly when it was resting on a leaf. I guess it stunned the fly. Then it came right back after 2-3 seconds and grabbed the fly and flew off a few feet to rest on this other plant and began chomping away. I was quite please that I was able to get so close. This is just barely cropped.

Love this shot!! nice capture.

Side note, two of my photos are on the front pages of two area weekly newspapers this week One is a graduation shot, with all the hats in the air, and the other is a nighthawk sitting on a road.

I know I said I was taking a day off, but my new macro lens came in and the rain held off, so I snuck out of the packing for vacation party and tried it out. All I can say is, I have to learn to use my monopod at this magnification. Even at F16 dof is razor thin at 2X and more. And the wind is not your friend at this magnification, in fact it may be your arch enemy. Here are a couple I managed to get in focus. No crops on any of these.

Congratulations on your front pages. Could you show us, or would that not be allowed by the publications?

Hey all...I'm about to buy a macro lens....
Debating, Canon 60mm or Canon 100mm (non-IS) for my 20D.

Anyone to sway me either way? Or another?

Sorry, didn't mean to hijack the image thread. Hopefully, I can start posting something better than backlit weeds:

So I'll throw this close up in instead:
