I don't think it would make sense to post these separately (same fly):

No bugs in this one, just this odd DOF thing. This was my third try at shooting these hydrangeas. Still looking for the lucky combination of sunlight & camera angle. What do you think?

First chance I've had this week. Not the best and I am not 100% satisfied. Will try it again tomorrow.

Nikkor 105mm Micro with Kenko 1.4x converter, f18, 1/30th ISO 1100.

Not a macro, but taken the same day:

Not really a macro but a super "close-up" This is kinda of in your face full frame shot. This cardinal was sitting on the bird-feeder eating a sunflower seed. He was very cooperative since I was fairly close to him.

Here's an old one of mine. Look Closely.

Karen felt the image looked underexposed, so here is an edited version. I just bought Photomatix Tone Mapping, and I have no idea how to use it, but I got this playing around with it. Not sure if this is too much, but it does make the original version look dull.

I have some catching up to. I upped the ram in my computer to 4 gigs (it was bogging down like crazy in PS) and the next day the monitor died (wasn't that old of a 24 inch dell monitor) so then I bought a new one ... the software for the new monitor interfered with my video card and I had some interesting colors happening.

Took quite a few hours to figure that out (I uninstalled and reinstalled the monitor software thinking it was that )as it takes awhile to get to the video card.

Anyway, I am back up and running. I have no idea if upping the ram can kill your monitor but my tale of woe is over for now ($600.00 later) and I will try and shoot something and get some commenting done.
