Horned to me?

(horned in Italy means having an unfaithful wife!)

Finally getting a couple posted here. These are from May but I will try to take more today :).
I don't have a macro lens as yet, so not sure if that means they are still defined as macro, but I still enjoy taking them. Loving seeing everyone else's work too ! Will comment more later today ~:D

ETA: I've included a link now to what Caragana is, thanks Karen for the prompt ;)

I got another bee today, this one is a little bit bigger than a gnat, smaller than a fly. Who knew there were so many different bees? Anyway, I tried all the PP I know how to use, to adjust the hot oversaturated pink of the petals, can't do it. Any suggestions? I would be grateful. I've been experimenting with the different ways to meter the light, maybe that's how the petals got so pink.

Thanks for the comments!
OK, I used a hue/sat layer. But guess what, the culprit wasn't the magenta, it was the red. Then I added a BW layer on soft light. I wonder, is this any better?

Go and have fun with your macro or closeup shots.

Anything you think qualifies as a "closeup" is fine -- if people don't like it they can say so!

Thanks Paul! I knew I'd seen it somewhere but for the life of me I couldn't find that lol ;)

Not sure what two of the three are. But got different ones for today. I'm trying for 30 different Species one for each day of the month.

Day 1

Well I finally had a little time to shoot. So, here is something a little different.

This is a strait up macro of some paint peeling off of a wooden frame.

This one is an 8 photo focus stack

This one is actually 24 total photos. It is an 8 photo focus stack but at each focus point I took 3 photographs (0,-2,+2). First I stacked the 3 different sets of photos (0,-2,+2) then I took those 3 outputs and made them into an HDR.

On another board (I am new to macro) I was asking if anyone had ever tried an HDR stack. I love HDR and just found out about focus stacking and was wondering if it was possible. This was my first attempt at focus stacking and I made some mistakes and did not get the entire photo in focus as I was planning. I am not sure about the HDR part either. Going to have to play around with it more as I get time.

Let me know what you think, I did not crop this at all and know that it could use a crop to get rid of the brown area at the top towards the left side.
